Father Zeus......what would he be like today?

The Greek gods were under the authority of Zeus.  The eldest brother who overthrew the old order and set up the younger generation, still thought of as prehistory.  Most of our myths deal with nature in a story form, not so much facts and dates like history but more of a classic form of ideas and abstracts that are still applicable today.  I will begin with a short history of Zeus and then go on to explain who and what Zeus is to me.

He is the youngest son of Cronos (father time/eternity) and Rhea (goddess of the heavens) and was the one who overthrew time in the Titan war.  Some of the referrals to him are Dios (sky and thunder god or cloud gatherer), Dione (at the Oracle of Dodona/prophecy from trees and leaves), and Plato who refers to him as "cause of life always to all things/divine mind."  He was known in Egypt as Ammon Ra or the shining god.  His symbols included the thunderbolt, eagle, bull and Oak tree.  The fascinating fact of the Oak relation is that and oak attracts thunderbolts but will not be destroyed by them most of the time because this tree can bend to the bolt.

His first well known act of nature was the flood, where he saved Deucalion (Noah), and his family then wiped humanity off the face of the earth for evil and human sacrifices.    Even the gods who are not his natural children refer to him as Father.  As for other tales of Erotic episodes, I will leave that for you to research and judge the truth of it for yourselves.  I only found the stories helpful in working with negative self images and becoming more human.  Instead of sitting in a church pew I read the stories and it was helpful because I wasn't under judgement on a constant basis but given a creative outlet and channel to work with this energy and it gave me the ability to weather any storm.
I know he taught me how to parent and to enjoy things that seem so mundane I felt suicidal.  Every adventure with any of the Greek pantheon when understood in a correct term is itself a chariot that leads you into some incredible revelations that can open the heart.  My message from Father Zeus will be different but it will be from a loving Father who just wants to be redeemed to his people.  My perception of the God is amazing and personal and I wish to share it with you.

Acceptance is key one.  You must accept this could be true then accept that there is no shame in you or the God.  Then allow him to work his magic.  I can't explain the magical side, but I can tell you it is not what you expect but it will increase life and happiness.  So many times we are so self defeating and self hating, how then can you follow the covenant of Christ (jesus/heyzeus)  ?   if you don't love yourself?  This was the main lesson I gleaned from my greek adventures.  It is wisdom that comes with finding out we all fall short sometimes, and sometimes we rise to Olympus.  This is NORMAL human and god experience.  If you love throughout the adventure then you gain wisdom which gives long qualified life.  Who is the beloved?  Blessed are those who have not seen yet believed, so it could be you, it could be your brother, sister, friend, enemy, anyone.  No mirror needed.  When the Creator created man and woman in their images you were their shining glory and so impressive the archangel Michael bowed to his glory and asked to serve you humans.  This is the main message I desire to give to people so that you may be esteemed and built up; which is a christian ministry just done with a slightly more creative and entertaining way.  Humans are a beautiful luxury.  Can you imagine living here alone with nothing?  Wouldn't the creator and all father also desire a family?  Didn't Christ himself give you the right to become Sons of God?    So after an acceptance lets move to the rising of the heart.

Forgiveness is DIVINE, and a gift from the gods.  This is how the soul rises or climbs that famous ladder.  Step one, forgive thyself.  In fact by this road, to take those negative or 'bad' things and learn to use them for a more positive thing such as lessons?  In time, all this will heal when the heart is opened.

Next step, redemption.  Speak your truth, live your truth and do your personal best.  No we are all not Zeus or Hermes, or Poseidon, but we can invoke them for lessons on how to deal with our shortcomings and their stories teach us all classic interventions and classic human experience and obviously it is still applicable because it still exists.  Relinquish those self imposed curses and move on.  Knowing your are his glory and his heart.  Hold your heads up high and be happy and confident then you will have absorbed the whole law of attraction.

This is what Zeus taught me.  I don't give too many details because you will find your own path in your own language and your own way.  My message is simply that this goes hand in hand with biblical teaching not by way of laws and rules but by the path of righteousness and divine forgiveness so that you can do the will (heart) of God.  His will for you is to be happy.  The rest is up to you, each one of you.  You can do things you never thought possible and you will find treasure and surprises along the way.

This is the first of the series: Zeus/jupiter/jove/odin, however you look at it or whatever name you use  you will see similarities.  My wish for anyone who reads our continuing god and goddess series will see something that will help them feel better about themselves.  I am not here to tear you down.  Neither is god.
